What is a Lash Lift & Tint?

A Lash Lift is a "perm" for the lashes. Specifically formulated for safe use on the eye area, special lotions influence the structure of each lash, creating and locking in a lifted or curled angle from the base and up through the length.  This enables the lashes to point upward instead of straight out or downward as they naturally do.  The service's actual processing or "lifting" steps take less than 15 minutes.  Most of the appointment time is spent prepping and arranging lashes for treatment.  After the lifting steps are complete, tint is applied and then rinsed (same concept as dyeing your hair), and finally, a nourishing lash conditioner is applied and then rinsed.

How Long Does the Service Take?

The total time of the appointment is 60 - 75 minutes. Most clients find the service so relaxing that they fall asleep.

How Long Will the Result Last?

Lashes stay lifted for 6 – 12 weeks, depending on how long an individual’s lash growth cycle takes.  To explain:
Our lashes are continuously going through a 3 stage growth cycle:
 • anagen- growing
 • catagen-transitioning
 • telogen- resting/ shedding 
Each of these stages lasts up to several weeks.  Whatever length of time it takes for your lashes to go through their cycle is how long your lift will last.  You will enjoy the darkening effect of the tint for weeks as well, but not as long as the lift.

LASH LIFT & TINT CONTRAINDICATIONS

• Pregnancy- first trimester only
 • Inability to lie down.  Service requires the Client to lie still, flat on their back, for approximately 75 minutes
 • Conjunctivitis
 • Active eye infection of any kind
 • Inflammation or lumps of any kind in the eye area (e.g., style)
 • Botox less than one week before appointment
 • Recent eye surgery
 • Allergy/ sensitivity to dyes
 • Allergy/ sensitivity to lanolin
 • Allergy/ sensitivity to adhesives
 • Extreme eye sensitivity
 • Chronic Dry Eye syndrome
 • Taking Thyroxin medication (can prevent lashes from curling)
 • Currently undergoing hormone replacement therapy
 • Extremely fine, brittle lashes are not ideal for this service
 • Extremely hooded eyes are not ideal for this service
 • Lashes shorter than .5 cm may not show a worthwhile result
